Meizhonghua? 美中话是什么?

MeiZhongHua is a word I invented for my own spoken Chinese. After much study and practice, whatever Chinese I speak is colored by my Americanized English structure and culture. Chinese students of English are embarrassed by their Chinglish. I think it is better than being shy to speak. It is our starting point at being able to know one another. In my recent opportunity to work and live in Jingdezhen, communication in mixes of Chinese and English combined led to some rich friendships, fleeting embarrassments, great adventures, and ordinary experiences that I will write about here. Mei 美 means beautiful and is the first character of the word for America. Zhong 中means middle, as in Zhongguo--China. Hua 话 is talk.
